Minecraft is a Lego-themed adventure game developed by Mojang studio in 2009. Minecraft is the current era’s Super Mario. It is a three-dimensional virtual world, in which the players themselves create everything.
So much more has been introduced in Minecraft since its early beginnings of simple mining and crafting that sometimes it can seem like a whole new game. It provides a wide array of various modes, ideal for nearly every type of player.
If you’re more of a creative person, you’ll probably enjoy the endless platform it has to offer, encouraging you to create everything you can imagine. Or maybe you’re aiming for more of a thrill than you should try to last while you combat the night creatures in its survival mode.

Modes of Minecraft:
Creative Mode: As the name implies, in creative mode, the emphasis is on content creation. In creative mode, players are already provided with all the resources and inventory to build structures and assets. Players can freely roam around in the game and make things as required.
Survival mode: Survival mode is the default mode that provides the video game experience to the player. The player has to find their building supplies and food from the environment to survive. In this mode, players can also get attacked by mobs and monsters.
Weapons in Minecraft:
Usage of weapons is an overall must in the game of Minecraft. The player has to use some weapon to save him from the attack of the mob and other dangers. The user can use weapons like Bow, Crossbow, Sword and axe to attack the enemy and fend off an attack by opponents.
Crossbow in Minecraft:
A crossbow is a new weapon in Minecraft, used to shoot arrows to the enemy. It is similar to bow in nature, but it can remain charged in inventory.
The range and damage done by a crossbow are consistent. It cannot be fired half-drawn like a conventional bow for targeted damage. Crossbow is loaded by clicking on it when the drawstring appears wholly stretched. You can preload the different types of Crossbow and keep it in inventory for future usage; this helps in saving time.
The Crossbow is a potent weapon but the time taken by the Crossbow until fully drawn is more than the bow. The best crossbow can also load and fire the firework rockets for maximum damage.
There are also some enchantments available for crossbows, making it a more powerful weapon against the enemy. Enchantments include:
- Multishot
- Quick Charge
- Piercing
- Unbreaking
- Mending
Infinity Enchantment:
Infinity is an enchantment only present with the bows. If you activate this enchantment, the bow would be able to shoot an infinite number of arrows by using only one arrow from the inventory.
However, you cannot retrieve the shot arrows except by playing in Creative Mode. Moreover, Infinity enchantment has no impact on the tilted and spectral arrows; they are still taken as regular. If you give infinity Command to Crossbow, it will still use arrows from the inventory.
Game Code of Infinity:
Enchantment Name | Namespaced Identity | Numeric Identity | Key |
Infinity | Infinity | 22 | enchantment. minecraft. infinity |
A player can apply Infinity Enchantment to their bow by using a game command, an enchanting table, or even anvil. They can then use the Enchanted Bow to fire an infinite number of arrows without ever running out of them.
Level 1 is the highest level for Infinity Enchantment. Therefore, you cannot enchant the bow with Infinity after Level 1.
Can You Put Infinity on A Crossbow in Minecraft?
Every weapon in the game is beneficial in some way. This isn’t about a glamorous gimmick or a cool impact but is useful in a particular situation of battle. For instance, for closer range, the sword is better than the bow, while the bow is better for longer distances. However, as you advance through the game, either by gaining new enchantments or battling tougher mobs, each weapon has its place.
Minecraft crossbow infinity is an enchantment that provides the user with an opportunity to make use of an infinite number of arrows. You need one arrow in your inventory at all times while making use of this enchantment in the game. In multiplayer, Infinity brings many benefits as the number of arrows you need during the fight seems to be a lot, so for that particular reason, this enchantment will be very convenient.
However, the crossbow is practically incompatible with Infinity enchantment; thus you can not put Infinity on a crossbow. Crossbows are designed to be a sniper weapon; therefore, it has less durability, slower pace, and uses fewer arrows but does more harm. And while a bow can even be enchanted to inflict a lot more damage, the crossbow could only try and keep up with the draw-speed of the bow.
The firing rate of a fully maxed out crossbow is much less than that of a bow, and the damage is also slightly lower. Therefore, you’re going to have to fire three arrows to destroy the average mob, which will cost you more arrows due to the lack of Minecraft crossbow infinity.
That being said, crossbow also offers a similar enchantment, known as tactical Multishot. This add-on helps the crossbow in shooting three arrows at once while using only one arrow from the inventory. This enchantment also works while shooting the firework rocket. Although it is not as deadly and beneficial as Infinity, however, it helps while battling with a huge mob. Moreover, another deadly enchantment of crossbow is piercing, and a piercing crossbow can shoot an arrow that can easily pierce through multiple surfaces.
Final word:
The crossbows do not have the enhancement of infinity, which means they would eventually run out if you’re attacking an enemy which is outnumbering you. That being said, you can use Multishot enchantment with a crossbow. It helps in faster loading of the arrow in the crossbow and reduces the loading time of the crossbow.
However, if you’re shooting a fortified position or armored opponent who needs piercing, then the Crossbow would be the better option. Furthermore, if your opponent is weak and you want to finish the clash soon then using the maxed-out Crossbow can be the right choice.
